My Visit to Swoosie’s Dallas
Whether you’re looking for a swanky gift, wedding essentials, favors for your next party, or just a special way to celebrate a recent accomplishment, Swoosie’s has you covered. I’ve been visiting Swoosie’s here in Dallas for years and each time I always feel a sense of fun and happiness. From their sign to the display windows, even before you enter you just know you’re in for a good time at this store! And as you can see for yourself, once inside you get a full and immediate display of all the goodness that’s literally and figuratively, in store for you!
Now there are showrooms and then there are showrooms, and Swoosie’s is best in class to me. From their sheer variety of items to choose from to their superb lighting (it makes for theeee best photos!), it just has that special wow factor! As soon as you walk through the doors, the store just screams, “Look, I’m gorgeous! I’m fun! And I got what you need!”
When it comes to gifts I truly think you can find something for just about anyone here! Candles, lotions, beauty products, tumblers, books, pillows, jewelry, cards, stationery, invitations…it’s all here!
Of course, I always focus in on the stationery items! Swoozie’s predominantly features Kate Spade and Lilly Pulitzer stationery items. They typically have the latest collections on display, which is a bonus for those who really like these brands since you typically can only find a few items here and there at larger retailers. You can see tumblers, journals, clipboards and more are all available in abundance.
Lately I’m loving notepads, and I’m forever and always a fan of catchphrases, so this notepad and journal both caught my eye!
From birthday parties and barbecues to weddings and graduations, you can find an amazing variety of gifts here. I’m a big fan of the Oventure key rings and Corkicle tumblers, and they have all of these beauties in every color and size imaginable! I also was excited to spot my first ever University of Houston college item in a Dallas store! Woot! Woot! My alma mater is one of the collegiate step-children of promotional fanfare here in Texas, but alas Swoozie’s didn’t fail me! LOL!
I also like that they feature a nice selection of items for men. You know sometimes, unfortunately, the gents get lost in the fray but no worries. There are plenty of items to choose from for them as well.
Swoozie’s kids and toy selections would have sent me overboard as child! They offer games, backpacks, books, stickers, toys, makeup, shoes, plush animals, arts and crafts and more. I also appreciate how they incorporate their seasonal offerings in this area too. So whether you’re looking for Easter items in April or 4th of July items in the summer, you can take advantage of one-stop shopping for not only yourself, but your entire family and schedule of fun events!
For all my “hostessess with the mostest”, you can’t lose here! You can get your complete party setup in a few square inches: snacks, napkins, cutlery, cups, serving dishes, chargers, stemware, decoration…EVERYTHING! Having a themed event? This is your place! Planning a lake trip? You’re covered! High tea? Yup, they have that too! A brunch for the ladies? Yup! A baby shower? That’s an easy one! Graduation party? Easter celebrations? Yes, yes, and yes!
Again I say, if you’re looking for a place to find all your party needs and you wanna snag a few things for yourself too, then Swoozie’s is where it’s at! They have locations across the country and online, but there’s only one here in Dallas and it’s located in The Plaza at Preston Center. Stop by soon and make sure you have plenty of time to take it all in, especially the Glitterville Studios display (their art is hanging from the ceilings and located at the back of the store)!
