15 Jul The Pentel Slicci Gel Ink Pen
As usual, a recent run to the store (Target, to be exact) found me perusing the office supplies aisle. And this time around, there was a nice little end-of-the-aisle display featuring the Pentel Slicci gel pen. Now I’d seen these before, but never in-store. Couple that with the new, crisp packaging and nice presentation, and it didn’t take any arm twisting to get me to take a second look.
Since blue is my favorite color, I of course chose the Metallic Blue, and decided to give it a whirl before purchasing any others (since at $2.99 a piece, they aren’t necessarily the cheapest pens, nor ideal for all-purpose use (which is actually fine by me)).
Upon opening the package I was a little disappointed with the length. It’s a little shorter than the average pen, but I was pleased with the way it wrote. I prefer finer point pens, especially in gel ink, so I found the 0.8 needle point pleasantly smooth, and the ink to be a very nice icy blue. All in all, I really liked it. So much so, that I went back and purchased it in Metallic Pink and Metallic Violet. Now all I need is some nice black paper to go along with them!
Have you used any of the Pentel Slicci Gel pens? Let me know if you liked them and how you used them.
