28 Jul The Pentel Oh! Gel Is Just So-So
I’m a sucker for a good gel pen. And while I’ll buy a gel pen from almost any pen maker, there’s no question that some are just better than others. My personal favorites happen to include the Pilot G-2 and Dr. Grip, Uni-Ball Vision RT, and PaperMate’s Gel Pens.
A few weeks ago I was in Staples (for something I can’t recall now) and happened upon Pentel’s Oh! Gel multi-pack in red, blue and black. I purchased my preferred point of choice, the 0.7 and went eagerly home to see if the performance would match up to theĀ pretty packaging and design.
After using them over the course of a few weeks now, I must say that while I’m not totally disappointed, I’m not all that impressed either. I like the design and cushion grip, and the length is nice for those of us with larger hands. I also like the weight of the pen, it’s not too heavy or too light. But when writing it does tend to streak and distribute an uneven amount of ink in some places.
All in all, the Oh! Gel is just so-so.
